A man laying on the road in Wetaskiwin last Sunday night is dead after he was hit by a car. Mounties were “urgently flagged down” to a crash in the area of 56 Street and 50 Avenue in Wetaskiwin just after 11 p.m. A 51-year-old Maskwacis man was laying on the road and struck by a vehicle, RCMP said. The driver of the vehicle stayed on scene and waited for police. The man died on scene. No charges are pending, police said.
