Gas station employee sprayed with bear mace during robbery

Mounties are looking for a man who robbed a gas station in Spruce Grove and assaulted the employee.

The robbery was reported on Dec. 30.

Police say the thief demanded cash and the employee complied, but the man still used bear mace on her.

The thief is described as:

• 5 feet 6 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall;
• stocky build; and
• wearing glasses, a black jacket, black pants and a balaclava mask.
