The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) says a fire at an infill construction site in Garneau on is considered suspicious. Firefighters were called to the multi-family structure at 108 Street and 85 Avenue shortly before noon on Thursday. A second alarm was called in to provide additional support. The fire was declared out at 3:07 p.m. on Thursday and no injuries were reported. Investigators are still working on a damage estimate. EPS is investigating several fires at infill sites across Edmonton that have happened in recent months. An EPS spokesperson says it’s too soon to say if the Garneau fire is connected to any of the other fires.
