A woman is dead after a weapons complaint in northeast Edmonton on Wednesday. Emergency crews were called to an apartment at 81 Street and 114 Avenue at 7:20 a.m. Morgan Cherish Taryn Giroux, 27, was taken to hospital where she died of her injuries. A female youth was taken into custody at the scene but later released. An autopsy on Thursday determined that Giroux died of a stab wound, and the manner of death has been deemed a homicide. Police are not looking for any suspects.
