Thirty-nine weather stations set new record highs in Alberta on Wednesday, Jan. 14. That includes Edmonton, where the previous record of 8.3 C (from 1942) was shattered by almost three-and-a-half degrees. In fact, most of Wednesday’s new record high temperatures were more than 2 C above the previous records.
