Around 20,000 visitors were expected Saturday for the summer return of the St. Albert Farmers’ Market. “Opening day is always a little crazy as people are just trying to find where their space is, where their booths are. We have a lot of new vendors this year, so we’re also trying to get them used to traffic flow and the crowds,” said market manager Jane Illot. It’s the 44th season of what’s considered Canada’s largest outdoor market. In recent years, the first day was rained out. Saturday, however, was a beautiful sunny day. “We get visitors from all over the world,” Ilott said. “You can pretty much find everything at the St. Albert Farmers’ Market.” The seasonal market will run each Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. until Oct. 10.
