Autopsy of toddler found dead in central Edmonton apartment inconclusive: EPS

Police say the cause of death of a three-year-old girl found in an apartment over the weekend can't be determined until toxicology results are known.

The autopsy of a toddler found dead in central Edmonton over the weekend has been completed.

Police were called to assist EMS at an apartment building in the area of 91 Street and Jasper Avenue on Saturday shortly after 8:30 p.m.

It was reported to officers that a three-year-old girl was found dead inside a suite.

The Edmonton Medical Examiner completed an autopsy Wednesday, but the manner of death is undetermined pending toxicology.

Edmonton police’s homicide section is still investigating.
