Crews are responding to a train derailment in west-central Alberta that happened at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. CN spokesperson Ashley Michnowski confirmed 37 loaded intermodal cars derailed in “various positions” west of the hamlet of Wildwood, about 120 kilometres west of Edmonton. “There are no reported leaks of dangerous goods, injuries, fires or impact to the public at this time,” she said in a statement to CTV News Edmonton Thursday evening. The investigation into the cause of the derailment is ongoing.
