A WestJet flight from Edmonton to Toronto was diverted to Winnipeg due to an unspecified threat, the airline said Monday night.
WestJet tweeted that the Boeing 737-700 aircraft was evacuated after landing at Winnipeg International Airport. There were 54 passengers and five crew members on board.

Six passengers were injured during the emergency evacuation with some requiring hospital treatment.
WestJet says the passengers will spend the night in Winnipeg before continuing their flights in the morning.
