An intrepid raccoon caught poking its head down from the ceiling at Toronto's Pearson Airport has been returned to its natural habitat, officials say.
The raccoon, perhaps hoping to catch a plane to the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" premiere, received celebrity treatment nonetheless on Twitter, where a video of its appearance was widely shared. The animal was shown hanging down from a gap in the ceiling tiles over the baggage claim area.

"Despite his intentions of travelling abroad, our friend the raccoon has decided Toronto has all the culture he needs," Toronto Pearson tweeted Sunday. "The raccoon is currently being taken back home to his natural habitat. He wanted us to thank you all for the celebrity treatment."
Twitter users embraced the furry airport intruder, with many comparing it to Rocket, the talking, gun-toting raccoon in the new "Guardians of the Galaxy" film.
Please don't arrest me, @TorontoPearson. I have the proper credentials to be here. Here's my passport photo. pic.twitter.com/XLCxr3dQEd

For those who've asked, Rocket is my brother. He thinks he's better than us though. He only eats food that isn't leftover. https://t.co/pElfZYmIzj
