ST. JOHN'S, N.L. -- The cost of building the Muskrat Falls hydroelectric projects is about to grow -- but the premiers of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland aren't saying by how much.

Newfoundland's Kathy Dunderdale and Nova Scotia's Darrell Dexter had little to say yesterday after a meeting in St. John's, Newfoundland.

However, they confirmed that the $6.2-billion estimate for the project is out of date and on the way up.

Dunderdale says it was inevitable the cost would go up because the current estimate is two years old.

Dexter says he has concerns about that -- however he insists the project still represents the best option to generate new electricity for the region.
