NACKAWIC, N.B. -- RCMP say a 56-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after a vehicle crashed into the Nackawic, N.B. fire hall.

The Mounties say Edwin Samuel Bradley of Nackawic made a court appearance today where he was also charged with refusal to provide a breath sample and breaching conditions.

He is being held in custody until Thursday when he is to appear in Woodstock court for a show cause hearing.

Police say a fire broke out after a vehicle hit the building, causing significant damage.

A fire truck was also destroyed in Monday's incident, but no one was injured.

The investigation continues.
