HAMILTON - Police in Hamilton say they're trying to identify the person shown being assaulted in a video found on a seized cellphone.
Investigators say two youths were robbed of items, including the cellphone, during an incident in November.
They say the stolen phone has since been recovered and contains graphic video of a violent assault.
The video shows a person, wearing a red sweater and dark pants, being swarmed and assaulted by a group of people and kicked in the head while on the ground.
Police say the video isn't dated, but it is believed to have been made in the last half of November.
Investigators have released the video and are seeking the public's assistance in identifying the victim or any of the assailants.
