HALIFAX -- Gas prices have taken a six-cent dip in Nova Scotia a day earlier than expected.
The Utility and Review Board sets gas prices every Friday, but is permitted to make unscheduled changes in the event of sudden and significant spikes in the market.
As of today, regular self-serve gas is selling for about $1.37 a litre in the Halifax area, down from about $1.43 a litre.
The board will still make its weekly adjustment Friday.
The price of gas is also down in New Brunswick for the first time in seven weeks.
The maximum price for regular self-serve gas now rests at about $1.37 cents per litre -- a three-cent drop over last week.
