Dellen Millard, one of the two men found guilty in the murder of Tim Bosma, is appealing his first-degree murder conviction.

Millard’s lawyer Ravin Pillay confirmed Monday that his client plans to appeal his conviction. Millard, 30, received an automatic life sentence last month, with no chance of parole for 25 years.

In May of 2013, Bosma took two men for a test drive in a Dodge Ram pickup truck he was trying to sell. The 32-year-old father from Ancaster, Ont. never returned. The prosecution argued he was shot in the passenger seat and that his body was then burned in an incinerator owned by Millard.

Another man, Mark Smich, was also found guilty of first-degree murder. He also plans to appeal the conviction.
