TORONTO -- Authorities are investigating after a car hit a guard rail and plunged into Lake Ontario in Toronto on Thursday evening.
Toronto Fire platoon chief Kevin Aucoin says the vehicle has not been located and it remains unclear who was inside.
He says a passerby on a bicycle jumped into the lake after seeing the vehicle go into the water but wasn't able to find anyone.
Toronto police say marine units are working to recover the vehicle.
