As the results of the U.S. presidential election pour in, Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s website appeared to be inaccessible to some users.

UPDATE: Feds say immigration website crashed due to traffic surge

Clicking on the site around 11 p.m. ET resulted in an error that stated “there is a problem with the resource you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.”

Two hours later, it still wasn’t working. CIC has not yet commented on the apparent outage

Twitter users have suggested it’s proof Americans are flooding the site with requests because they’re not happy about the results and considering moving north.

However, moving to Canada isn’t as easy as some might assume.
