VICTORIA -- B.C. Premier Christy Clark the cabinet she'll unveil today will include ministers who will drive the province's natural-gas industry and review government spending line by line.

The B.C. Liberals won 49 of the province's 85 legislative seats in the May 14th election, relegating the New Democrats to opposition again, although the premier lost her own riding and must now run in a byelection.

Clark is expected to reveal later today who among the 49 elected members will serve in cabinet and says she plans to recall the legislature shortly to debate the budget.

Clark says British Columbians want to see economic growth and tight government-spending controls and her cabinet will reflect those priorities.

But Andrew Weaver -- the province's first elected Green Party MLA -- says he fears taxpayers will end up subsidizing energy companies, adding the province faces some stiff competition over natural gas internationally.

The B.C. Liberals have argued that exporting natural gas will wipe out the province's more-than 60-billion dollar debt within 15 years and drastically cut the provincial sales tax.
