A Cuisinart-branded grill brush sold at Crate and Barrel Canada is being recalled due to an injury hazard. A notice for the recall published Tuesday by Health Canada, says that the “small metal wire bristles … can detach from the brushes and stick to the grill or food, posing an ingestion hazard and risk of serious internal injuries that could require surgery.” “Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Crate & Barrel Canada for a refund,“ the recall said. The recalled brushes were sold as part of two grill sets and are described as having a stainless steel handle, with the word “Cuisinart” stamped on the brush hand. Between December 2017 and March 2026, 679 units of the affected products were sold across Canada. There have been no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada as of Aug. 26, 2026. The products were originally made in China.
