Calgary police are investigating two deaths in the community of Temple. Police say officers attended a home in the northeast community to do a welfare check just after 2 p.m. on Wednesday. When entering the home, police found a woman in her 40s and a child under the age of 10 dead inside. It’s the second time in six weeks Calgary police have investigated a child’s death. The investigation is in its early stages, but police do not currently believe there is an outstanding suspect, nor is there any threat to public safety. Police holding a press conference on Wednesday afternoon declined to share details about who called in the welfare check. They also would not share whether anyone else was inside the home. More information will be released when it becomes available.
