A wind warning has been issued for southern Alberta. Environment and Climate Change Canada issued the warning at 4:20 a.m. Saturday morning. The warning is in effect for the municipal district s of Pincher Creek and Twin Butte, advising that “strong westerly winds gusting to 110 km/h are expected to develop this evening and continue through the night.” It said the winds are expected to diminish Sunday morning. Damage to buildings, such as roof shingles and windows, may occur, it added, warning about loose objects that may take flight and broken tree branches.
