The Calgary Fire Department says no injuries were reported after an industrial fire in the city’s southeast on Tuesday. Crews were called to the 7000 block of Ogden Dale Place S.E. just after 7 a.m. Public Information Officer Alex Kwan says crews arrived to find workers outside the building and an indoor sprinkler system activated. The fire was located inside the building — a rendering plant — inside a hopper. Kwan said “carcasses and blood” had caught fire, contributing to a “unique smell” in the area.
