Tourism Lethbridge took the day to celebrate the frontline workers that serve the city’s tourism industry. The free event recognized the important role frontline staff play in delivering exceptional visitor experiences. Hotel employees, servers, retail workers and staff from local attractions took part in the VIP event. Tourism Lethbridge says without frontline employees, the tourism industry wouldn’t be able to operate the way it does today. “Visitors just go to tourism places, but they really find themselves integrated into our community, and so being able to answer that question, ‘What is there to see and do in Lethbridge while I’m here?’ (is) what we’re here to provide them the information with … really sharing about what’s fantastic in our community and celebrating them and being a part of our tourism industry,” said Erin Crane, Tourism Lethbridge CEO. This is the second year Tourism Lethbridge has held the event.
