Calgary is under a severe thunderstorm watch for Wednesday. Environment and Climate Change Canada issued the notice, saying conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. The agency also says conditions are favourable for the development of funnel clouds. Residents are reminded to head indoors when there is lightning.
