A southern Alberta woman is $100,000 richer after winning big on a scratch lottery ticket. Meaza Bilal’s windfall comes from a $5 50x The Cash scratch-and-win ticket. Bilal, a Pincher Creek resident, bought her ticket from the town’s Shell gas station. “I’m still in shock,” Bilal said in a news release from the Western Canada Lottery Corporation. “I’ve never won anything like this before.” “I scratched the barcode on the ticket and scanned it—I could not believe what the machine said,” she added. “I even went to another store to see if the amount was real.” Bilal says her plans for the money include potentially taking some classes, and putting the rest in savings.
