Popular tourist spot in Banff closing for maintenance Oct. 13

The Banff Upper Hot Springs will soon close for its annual fall maintenance period.

The popular tourist destination will shut down on Oct. 13 for repairs and improvements.

The hot springs have drawn visitors to Banff since 1886, featuring mineral-rich water kept between 37 and 40 C.

Parks Canada says it’s expected the facility will reopen in early November.
