Calgary police investigate shooting in Patterson heights

Calgary police say one person is dead and another was injured after a domestic-related incident in the city’s southwest.

Part of a Calgary neighbourhood was locked down for most of the day on Tuesday for a shooting.

Police were called to the home in Patterson Heights, just after 8:30 a.m.

Police discovered a man inside who was dead, and a woman who’d been assaulted.

She was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Officers say there is no danger to the public and there will be no further updates.
