A few Canadian music legends walked the red carpet Thursday night at the National Music Centre in Calgary, where they are being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. Dan Hill, Ginette Reno, Glass Tiger and Loreena McKennitt are being officially inducted for their contributions to Canada’s music industry. Sum 41 and Maestro Fresh Wes were also officially inducted into the Hall recently, on Juno Awards weekend in March. Eight-time Juno winner Paul Brandt hosted the event at Studio Bell. He said of all the recent inductees he’d like to do a collaboration with, Maestro Fresh Wes was his choice. “I’ll have to see if I’ll make a connection with him tonight,” he said. “It’s a real connection to his launch - Let Your Backbone Slide - for me, that really makes a connection and brings me back. It was music I definitely cut my teeth on.” Presenters at the event included musical talents Beverley Mahood, Roch Voisine and Johnny Reid.
