A Calgary woman is celebrating a $1.47-million Lightning Lotto win after purchasing a ticket at a northeast store. Laudiana Analiza bought the ticket on June 19 at a Shoppers Drug Mart, where a cashier told her she had won. “It didn’t click right away. I was still in denial and didn’t say much,” Analiza said in a media statement. She returned to her vehicle to check the ticket again. “I sat in my car and looked and realized the winning number was really there,” she said. “In my mind I was like, ‘Is this real?’” Analiza said the first person she called was her daughter, who also initially didn’t believe the news. She matched all five numbers - 6, 9, 21, 26 and 32 - to win the prize instantly. Analiza said she plans to use the money to support her family and travel. “I would like to help my kids with their student loans. I’m also planning to visit the Philippines with my husband and daughter,” she said.
