The Kicking Horse Resort announced the reopening of its Golden Eagle Express Gondola Sunday morning at 10 a.m. The B.C. resort posted on an update on its Instagram page recently. “The KHMR lift maintenance team has finished installing new hanger arms on all gondola cabins and has completed all required testing and system checks,“ it said. “On Wednesday, Sept. 4, the safety authority conducted the official return-to-service inspection and has now given clearance for the Golden Eagle Express to resume operation.” The reopening of the gondola means the following activities and services will also be available: To celebrate the return of the gondola, Kicking Horse is holding a Summer Community Day on Sept. 21. Lift tickets will be available to Golden and Area A residents by minimum donation, with proceeds going to the Golden Food Bank. There will be adventure pass tickets available starting at $5 for an individual or $10 for a family, lift tickets starting at $10 an individual or $20 for a family, retail discounts at the Performance Rental Centre and Outfitters Store, an a Summit BBQ Pop-Up featuring a $20 burger, chips and beer combo at the top of the gondola.
