Dozens of fans lined up to be the first in the city to get their hands on a nostalgic video game remake. Gamers lined up at EB Games in Chinook Centre for the 11 p.m. release of The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time remake. The original game was released almost 30 years ago on the Nintendo 64 and is still beloved by fans. The new game is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 and comes with updated graphics and visuals. Some of the first fans in line say it’s also great chatting with fellow Zelda fans before the release. “I’m here more for the vibe and experience of just being surrounded by my peers, people who also really like Zelda, and just really getting to talk and vibe with them, form new friendships,” said Travis, who was second in line. It’s a big month for video game fans: the highly-anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 releases in two weeks.
