The gloomy weather will persist through the rest of the week, and temperatures will fall for Labour Day long weekend. Thursday in Calgary will be a rainy one — especially in the morning. It will start to taper off throughout the afternoon and the sun should peek out closer to the supper hours. It will be windy at times throughout the day, with gusts up to 40 km/h. On Friday, expect a high of just 19 C with a small chance of showers. The weather in the city will be wet from late Saturday through to Sunday morning, with the most amount of rain falling on Sunday. The temperature will remain below what’s seasonally normal — so lower than 20 C — until the middle of next week. Here is a beautiful photo of two kayakers west of Glenmore Reservoir, taken when the weather was hot and peaceful earlier this week.
