The Calgary Surge have relieved head coach Perry Huang of his duties after a disappointing start to the season. The Surge is currently in last place in the CEBL Western Conference, having lost all seven games so far. The organization thanked Huang for his leadership and contributions to the team. “Our organization remains focused on competing at the highest level and experiencing the success we’re accustomed to,” said team president Dylan Howe in a press release. “We believe the change in direction allows us to move forward in pursuit of those goals.” Huang was announced as head coach of the Calgary Surge in March of this year, replacing Kaleb Canales. He joined the organization with experience coaching in some of the world’s top men’s and women’s leagues, including the NBA and WNBA. The organization says it will share more information regarding coaching responsibilities at a later date.
