There will be hot and dry weather in Calgary all week. On Tuesday we will get to a high of 30 C. The winds will be gusty in the afternoon, which should help us out with the heat a little bit. The air quality will range from low to moderate. The air is expected to get smoky again on Wednesday. The city is expected to range from moderate to high on the Air Quality Health Index. The temperatures will boost into the low 30s by Saturday in Calgary. Many communities southeast of the city will get temperatures in the high 30s by the weekend. A ridge of high pressure will give us lots of sunshine throughout the week. Chris Ratzlaff took this beautiful sunset shot near Sylvan Lake on Sunday evening.
