The trailer for the latest film adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel features glimpses of Bragg Creek and scenic shots of the Rocky Mountains west of Calgary. Published in 2022, Reminders of Him tells the story of troubled young mother Kenna Rowan, who, after serving time in prison for a tragic mistake, returns to the town where it all went wrong with the hopes of reuniting with her young daughter. The movie was shot in Calgary and the surrounding area from April to June – and the first trailer dropped on Tuesday. Reminders of Him stars Maika Monroe (Long Legs), Rudy Pankow (Outer Banks), Tyriq Withers (Him), Lauren Graham (Gilmore Girls) and Bradley Whitford (The Handmaid’s Tale). It hits theatres on March 13. The first film adaptation of a Colleen Hoover novel was 2024’s It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, which has been embroiled in controversy as the two stars became engaged in an ongoing legal battle. A movie adaptation of another of Hoover’s novel, Verity, filmed in New York City earlier this year. Regretting You, published in 2019, has also been turned into a movie, and will be released on Oct. 24.
