A 31-year-old man is facing several charges in connection with a stabbing in Sunalta earlier this week. Calgary police say officers were called to the site of a stabbing that occurred outside the Sunalta CTrain station on Tuesday at 7 a.m. after a person was stabbed. Police say in a Wednesday news release that officers believed the suspect was involved in a previous altercation with four people in the 1700 block of 11 Avenue S.W. before witnesses intervened. They say the suspect returned to the area and stabbed one of the individuals. The victim was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition and was later upgraded to stable condition. Thirty-one-year-old Fuad Abdi Yusuf is now facing several charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon and obstruction of a peace officer. He is scheduled to appear in court next Wednesday.
