Calgary’s EMS say two paramedics were hurt when the ambulance they were driving was involved in a crash. Officials say an ambulance was transporting a patient in serious condition on Tuesday afternoon when they collided with another vehicle at Shaganappi Trail and 32 Avenue N.W. Two more ambulances were dispatched to the scene, one for the original patient and the other for the paramedics. The patient was later taken to hospital after undergoing an assessment following the crash. The ambulance crew involved in the crash were both in stable, non-life-threatening condition. EMS says one was taken to hospital for assessment while the other declined transport. The driver of the vehicle was also taken to hospital in non-life-threatening condition.
