One man is in hospital with minor injuries after a shooting in the 400 block of 5 Avenue S.E. Police responded just after 3 a.m. and discovered one man who was shot. Investigators believe he was shot when two men tried to take his belongings. The men fled the scene. The victim was transported to hospital in serious condition. It is not known whether the shooting had any connection to an earlier shooting that took place just after midnight in the Beltline, where two men were shot.
