Investigation is underway into a fatal vehicle collision that took place Friday afternoon in west Calgary. Police responded to the intersection of Bow Trail S.W. and 37 Street S.W. at 3:40 p.m. They say a woman in her 30s was walking in a marked crosswalk when she was hit by a commercial truck turning into the intersection. The woman was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead. The driver, a man in his 60s, remained on scene. He wasn’t injured. Police say speed and impairment aren’t believed to be factors.
