TORONTO -- Out of over 76,000 entries, Jennifer Brown's creme brulee-filled doughnut topped with peanut butter cups has taken home top prize in Tim Hortons Duelling Doughnuts contest.

Brown, from Glencoe, Ont., battled it out with three other finalists in an online vote, winning $10,000 in prize money and the chance to see her creation sold in Tim Hortons restaurants across the country.

The four finalists were chosen by a panel of notable Canadians -- "90210" star Jason Priestley and Ben Mulroney returned for the second year of the contest and musician Jann Arden and celebrity chef Anna Olson judged for the first time.

Eight finalists had pitched their sweet treats earlier this month, complete with a taste test for judges to consider.

"I saw firsthand Jennifer's passion for her doughnut, and with that irresistible combination of Reese's Peanut Butter Cups and creme brulee, I know Canadians made the right decision," Priestley said, quoted in a statement.

Priestley made doughnut headlines last year after an appearance on TV's "How I Met Your Mother." In a fake documentary, the Los Angeles-based actor claimed he had invented "The Priestley," a strawberry-vanilla doughnut with a chocolate Timbit nestled inside.
