Aritzia Inc.’s net income almost tripled in its latest quarter as the company continued to expand in the U.S. The Vancouver-based apparel retailer reported $117.3 million in net income during its first quarter, up from $42.4 million during the same period last year. Its net income per diluted share for the period ended May 31 amounted to 99 cents compared with 36 cents per diluted share a year before. The company’s net revenue jumped 43 per cent to $951 million in the first quarter, from $663.3 million a year earlier. Its Canada net revenue alone was up 25 per cent while its U.S. net revenue surged 54 per cent.
