A wellness check in the city’s north end led police to a harrowing discovery on Saturday. Police say a man and a woman were found deceased in a home near the area of St. Vincent Street and Osprey Ridge. The victims are believed to be known to each other but police say the incident appears to be isolated. Both are from Barrie, police say. According to Barrie police, the man was 45-years-old and the woman was 44-years-old. As of Monday, police have vacated the area and say they are not seeking suspects at this time. The cause of their death remains under investigation by the Barrie Police Major Crime Unit.
