Stayner residents will no longer have to travel far to enjoy their favorite golden fries, Big Macs, and McFlurries. The community is set to welcome its very own McDonald’s restaurant, opening on Nov. 14 at 10 a.m. Locally owned and operated by McDonald’s Canada franchisee Brent Kelly and his team, the group says they’re thrilled to join the Stayner community. The brand-new restaurant is located at 100 Grand Trunk Road. Groundbreaking for the development took place back in February as part of a new commercial plaza by MacPherson Builders and Dancor Construction, which will also include a new Foodland and LCBO. McDonald’s has been part of Canadian communities since opening its first restaurant in Richmond, B.C., in 1967. Today, the company says they serve more than a million Canadians each day offering not just great food, but a place to connect.
