Two of the three teens involved in a series of mischief incidents in Gravenhurst have also been charged in connection with damage at a local pet memorial site, according to the OPP. The teens allegedly caused significant damage to the Rainbow Bridge Pet Memorial Bridge in Gravenhurst in late August, which recently had its grand opening in the spring. The bridge is used to honour people’s beloved pets once they have passed. Police first reported a group of five people who tore down banner style signs, a placard and another nearby sign, and threw them into the water. As a result, a 14-year-old and 16-year-old from Port Sydney have been charged with mischief. The investigation remains ongoing as the police continue to search for the remaining three people involved. Police are asking the public if they have any information about the incidents. They describe one suspect as a male with very short, dark hair, wearing white shoes, dark-coloured sweatpants and a grey long-sleeved shirt. The other two suspects are females – one with long, dark hair and glasses, dark jeans, white shoes and a dark-coloured shirt and the other with long, light brown hair, blue jeans and a sheer see-through top. All appear to be between 14 and 19 years old, police say. Anyone with information is asked to contact Bracebridge OPP.
