The small but mighty team at Pure Country 106 received a major nod at the upcoming 2025 Canadian Country Music Awards (CCMA) with a nomination for ‘Small Market Station of the Year.’ The Orillia radio crew is up against small and medium markets from North Bay, Belleville, Medicine Hat, AB, and Kelowna, B.C. Additionally, one of Pure Country’s popular presenters, morning show host Jason McCoy, scored a nomination for ‘Personality of the Year.’ “It’s an incredible and deserved nomination for Jason. His work with Carey Moran on Pure Mornings, plus his ‘Nothin’ But The 90s’ show on Saturday Nights are a big reason behind the success of Pure Country 106,” said Josh Duncan, Pure Country 106 program director. The 2025 CCMAs, hosted by Tom Green, is set to take place on Sept. 13 in Kelowna, B.C.
