A multi-vehicle collision caused major traffic delays on Highway 400 in Barrie during the dinner hour on Wednesday. Emergency crews were called to the scene near the Dunlop Street exit, south of Bayfield Street, just before 6 p.m. for what police say was a minor crash involving about eight vehicles. While the collision wasn’t serious in nature, it created a significant traffic backlog as driver tried to make their way south through the area. Police say minor injuries were reported. It remains unclear what caused the collision or whether any charges will be laid. The area cleared several hours later.
