Canadian Golf Hall of Fame finds new home at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley

The Canadian Golf Hall of Fame’s headquarters is now on the campus of TPC Toronto, home of the Canadian Open.

You could never make a wrong turn as you head to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley.

Just past the home of the RBC Canadian Open, you will soon be able to find Canadian Golf history as Golf Canada has moved its hall of fame to Caledon.

The brand-new building will also be Golf Canada’s headquarters. The building will consist of three floors all showing the country’s rich history with the sport.

From clubs from the early 1900’s to recent history, director of heritage services for Golf Canada Meggan Gardner can find it all.

“We have our archives, artifacts, film, photographs, artifacts collection,” said Gardner. “Anything from golf balls to golf equipment to medallions, medals, hats, trophies - it really encompasses a lot of Canadian golf history.”

That history is already taking shape in the new building with artifacts placed throughout the new headquarters, leaving visitors learning at every corner.

“I think that preserving the Canadian golf history is essential to not only helping to grow the game in Canada right now, but it also shows you what golf was and where it’s going today,” said Gardner.

The hall of fame is not only restricted to one location. Artifacts and items of significance will be spread out throughout TPC Osprey, including the clubhouse, restaurants, villas and locker rooms.

Garret Ball, chief operating officer of Golf Canada, said the goal is to showcase the history of the sport to as many people as possible.

“One of the core tenants has always been to showcase these artifacts and exhibits to the people,” said Ball. “So, the golf course has about 40,000 people coming to it every year.”

Gardner added the goal is to create new fans of the game and convince them to give the sport a try.

There will be no cost to look at the artifacts and you don’t need a tee time at TPC Osprey.

“You don’t have to be playing golf and you can come and look at some of the displays that are here, as well as look at the lockers that are downstairs in the basement and see some of these key individuals,” said Gardner.

With the RBC Canadian Open fast approaching, there is no better time to learn about Canadian Golf history.

“The RBC Canadian Open is the third oldest tournament on the globe,” said Ball. “And to see some of these pieces and some of these stars walk through the building, it’s inspiring and exciting.”

Golf Canada headquarters and the Canadian Golf Hall of Fame are expected to be open for the beginning of the 2026 RBC Canadian Open which tees off on June 10.
