Provincial police say a driver who attempted to flee officers was unsuccessful and now faces charges. Kawartha Lakes OPP said they attended a call for a disturbance on Saturday afternoon in Bobcaygeon. Officers attended the area of Front Street, where police say the person the accused was screaming at people. Police say the man fled the scene in a pickup truck prior to officer arrival. OPP say they located the man shortly thereafter when they located a truck with matching licence plates. Police charged a 25-year-old Bobcaygeon man with two counts of impaired operation, including a count of 80 plus. The accused’s licence was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle was impounded for seven.
