SURREY, B.C. - There's been another fatal shooting in Metro Vancouver.

A 23-year-old man has been gunned down on a street in suburban Surrey, just three days after two men where shot dead in a gang-style hit in downtown Vancouver on Saturday night.

Surrey RCMP say the latest shooting happened near the Guildford Town Centre shopping mall.

They say a police officer on general patrol was flagged down by the driver of a Jeep Cherokee who was trying to get help for another man who appeared to have been shot.

The man, who was known to police, was taken to hospital where he later died.

On Saturday, Ricardo Scarpino, who was heading to an engagement party with his fiancee, was shot to death along with another so far unidentified man as the they got out of a vehicle in front of a high-end Vancouver steak house.
