CHARLOTTETOWN - Police say an autopsy is scheduled for later today after the body of 38-year-old Ottawa man was pulled from Charlottetown harbour.

The body of Trevor William Rankin was found by a police diver yesterday, about three blocks from where he was last seen getting out of a cab on Christmas Eve.

Police say they do not suspect foul play in the death.

Rankin was visiting relatives in P.E.I. and police confirm he had spent part of the evening at a downtown bar with his nephew before he disappeared.

Police say it remains unclear how Rankin ended up in the water.
